Adrian Beltre’s 2017 was certainly rough. However, it was certainly rewarding. Since arriving in Arlington in 2011, Beltre’s made an impact as a member of the Texas Rangers. Beltre’s been in the league 20 years. One thing we’ve learned about him is that he’s certainly full of surprises.

According to MLB.com’s T.R. Sullivan, Beltre is this year’s Personality of the Year award winner. Beltre’s is the third to win this award. In this case, it’s another year another award for Beltre. He’s having the time of his life in a Texas Rangers uniform.wholesale custom baseball sweatshirts

Adrian Beltre certainly has a funny personality and a very good sense of humor as we’ve seen poke fun on the field during games with some dance moves and comedic antics. No one will forget the funny incident he had with an umpire in a game against the Marlins, involving the on-deck circle. He’s full of life and Beltre. Fans and teammates of his have described as hilarious. So quite frankly this is certainly an award meant for him.

Beltre appeared in only 94 games this season due to nagging injuries. However, in the 94 games he appeared in, he made an impact.

On the fourth of July, Beltre hit his 600th double, becoming the 17th player to do so. Three days later, he became the 21st player to collect more than 5,000 career total bases. July 30th, earned his 3,000th career hit, becoming the 31st to accomplish that goal. He also became the first player born in the Dominican Republic to reach the 3,000-hit milestone.

The 38-year-old veteran is entering the final year of his contract. He still plays good baseball, but due to the injuries this past season, his health has now become a cause for concern. He’s made it clear he still has the desire to win a World Series. A World Series ring is the only thing on his list accomplishments that is incomplete. Beltre may not hang up his cleats until he wins one.

David Ortiz still is living life to the fullest. The legendary Boston Red Sox slugger was a hit on FOX’s Major League Baseball postseason coverage, and hopefully, he will get a buddy cop drama with co-analyst Alex Rodriguez sooner rather than later. But until then, Ortiz and fellow MLB legend Albert Pujols were busy spending their offseason having what looked to be an absolute blast at a party after Adrian Beltre and his wife, Sandra, renewed their wedding vows. Ortiz documented his time at the party on Instagram.
